I think I'm really quite bad at baking, especially cakes. I can't seem to get it right. Tried to bake a swiss roll to make a log cake today. And it failed (as usual)!
The cake did not rise, so it's not like a sponge cake, but ended up more like a dense cake. :( Not too sure which step went wrong this time. Looks like another round of learning lessons for me.
So now I'm left with one big tub of chocolate buttercream.
I just added 100gm of melted chocolate to my usual buttercream recipe. Must think of some bakes to use them. Maybe I'll practise my cuppies again.
