I'm getting addicted to bread baking, ever since I found that my VM can do the tedious job of dough kneading for me. I've been dying to bake different breads, even just after a few rounds of baking...lol...
Today I did the sweet buns again. I made the full recipe this time. But found that the dough was too heavy for the VM to knead properly. So after a few rounds in the machine, I decided to give it some additional hand kneading until I think the dough is ok.
This time I was determined to improve my bread shaping skills after reading the two new books on bread which I've bought yesterday. It took me one whole afternoon till night to complete the different designs! I'm a real slow worker!
I did a few different fillings, tuna, peanut twist, kaya twist, cinnamon (from my last remaining cinnamon mix). Also used my remaining stuffed chicken wings fillings (which have been frozen in the freezer) to experiment with new bread designs learnt from the books. Do you think I've shown a little improvement? lol...

Gina, can self collect? hahaha....
Very impressive.
May I know the titles of the books that you bought? Does it give step by step guide. Thanks.
Meg, the 2 books I bought from Popular are "A Profit-Making Bakery Shop" (bilingual) and "Dessert Yuan2 Qi4 Mian4 Bao1 Huo2 Li4 Man3 Wu1" (chinese). They do give some picture guide on how to shape certain breads. I find that having picture books to guide us is a real good way to learn, so worth the investment.
